Yellow Pages

It’s a gloomy winter day

My hands cupping the sun weakest ray

With squinted eyes, I looked at it

Still so meek that even the wind agreed

I looked liked an autumn leaf in the flowing river

Hence, I made on it a stone’s ripple

“Why here?” his voice entered

And I turned to stare

He smiled with yellow teeth

“Did I have a bad day?” I forgot to remember.

  1. Hey I really love this… You’re really good at micro-poetry. Just one thing…I would love it if you could explain this one to me. 🙂 🙂 I tried to guess it but I think I am wrong. You have a good way with words really!

    1. It describes no matter how much we get to suffer by the agony of waiting, it ends with a cherishing moment with the special one arriving in front of your eyes. You forget everything like anger bubbling in your mind when he conquers your heart with his commencing smile. 😀

I hope you got your answer 🙂

Thank you, Vani for liking my this small world 😀
