Yellow Pages

It’s a gloomy winter day

My hands cupping the sun weakest ray

Withย squinted eyes, I looked at it

Still so meek that even the wind agreed

I looked liked an autumn leaf in the flowing river

Hence, I made on it a stone’s rippleย

“Why here?” his voice entered

And I turned to stare

He smiled with yellow teeth

“Did I have a bad day?” I forgot to remember.

  1. Hey I really love this… You’re really good at micro-poetry. Just one thing…I would love it if you could explain this one to me. ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚ I tried to guess it but I think I am wrong. You have a good way with words really!

    1. It describes no matter how much we get to suffer by the agony of waiting, it ends with a cherishing moment with the special one arriving in front of your eyes. You forget everything like anger bubbling in your mind when he conquers your heart with his commencing smile. ๐Ÿ˜€

I hope you got your answer ๐Ÿ™‚

Thank you, Vani for liking my this small world ๐Ÿ˜€
